REV. DANIEL HUGHES
Cincinnati Faith Organizer
Daniel organizes faith leaders and communities for the Amos Project on the west side of Cincinnati. He started organizing in 2008 after a young Black mother was shot and killed by a police officer while holding her 1-year-old child. After shifting to church work for several years, he found his way back to local organizing when a Cincinnati police officer shot and killed an unarmed Black man in 2016.
Pastor Hughes’ purpose is to co-create the world we want with real people. Love brings him to this work and love is the mark that he wants to leave. He fights for those who cannot. He has degrees in organizational communication and has coached individuals and organizations in areas of diversity, equity, and inclusion. He grew up on a farm, and he loves to play golf.
